Nursery Provision

At Thameside Primary School, we offer Nursery provision for children aged three and a half years and above. Our Nursery operates during term time only, in line with the school calendar.

Session Options

We offer a range of session options to meet the needs of families:

• Morning Session: 8:45am – 11:45am

• Afternoon Session: 12:30pm – 3:30pm

• Full‑Time Session: 8:45am – 3:30pm*

*Please note that the full‑time option includes an additional charge to cover time and services beyond the funded hours. Further details are provided below.

We aim to support families wherever possible and can offer some flexibility with session times to meet individual needs.

Funding and Charges

We provide childcare in line with Early Years Government funding guidelines, offering access to 15 or 30 hours of FREE funded childcare during term time, subject to eligibility.

Government funding helps families access high‑quality early education. Depending on your child’s age and family circumstances, you may be entitled to funded childcare.

30 Hours Funded Childcare

Eligible working parents may access up to 30 hours of FREE funded childcare per week during term time.

15 Hours Funded Childcare

All children aged three and over are entitled to 15 hours of FREE funded childcare per week during term time.

 

Additional Charges

For children attending full‑time, any hours attended beyond the funded entitlement are charged at a rate of £3.50 per session. These charges are invoiced half‑termly.

From time to time, there may be additional charges for optional experiences such as educational visits or workshops. Any such costs will be shared with parents in advance and kept to a minimum.
